In September 1952, we "crossed the street." We had moved from the old Elementary School building to the RHS Classroom Building across Seventh Street, and become junior high school students. Our home room teacher was Mrs. Geneva Helm (Miss Geneva). She stayed with us for the next five years through our high school graduation and we were fortunate to have her.
For the first time, our individual subjects had separate teachers with classes held in different rooms. This was different from grade school, where we pretty much stayed in the same room the whole class day. We were required to take four subjects (four credits) each year. Our subjects for the Seventh Grade were
Mrs. Kay Lyle Stengell, Mrs. Nancy Borchers, Mrs. Helen Carpenter Here are are photos from the 1953 Panther yearbook.
